Haute Couture Encore

Today's show was a blast. I had fun, we all did.It took place in the Grand Hotel in Opera. I was wondering why they named it "Grand", till I discovered the rate of one room starts from 1 GRAND (euro) per night. I met several artists and princesses today. Finally, I gave back Desio's bracelet. Haha, he forgot about it on purpose. Je suis tres tres fatigue maintenant. I feel like Starbuck-ing.. but, my feet hurts! I'm done walking. Gosh, I miss Desio. I wanna hug!! He's always been my ear. My new best friend is a total arm candy ;) He was being silly, taking several photographs with me, trying to be sexy.. well, I'm not going to upload those photos because it's kind of provoking, if you know what I mean.. like REALLY provoking. well, I must say, that his skills in modeling is still there. Despite from the silliness that he is, he's a quite a listener. Now he'll be off to Milan for the Italian designers model casting. sobs..I'll see him around when he'll come back here :)

Let's Roll

The metro was on strike today. Only some lines were working, like our line to go to Champs-Elysees. So you can just imagine how PACKED the metro was this morning! Apparently when we finally got to the metro, it was like an hour later. Can you just believe that even in the metro here, we have "traffic jam"? Full of people, FULL. Like as in you can't even move an inch.

I just got back from the studio, and it was tiring really. I had to sew some embroideries on Couture dresses. I'm so proud of it, knowing that the collection will come out in all high fashion's magazines, and fashion t.vs. Yayness! My first Haute Couture handwork! I can't believe all these years that I've been flipping through the Couture magazines, and wishing about something that I've never even think it'll come true. But now, I can flip through those mags, and watch all the t.v shows and say "hey, I sew those flowers,man".

Oh, by the way, Desio forgot to take back his Louis Vuitton leather bracelet. Looks like I'll be keeping it for a while. hehe, till tomorrow of course. THE BIG DAY. I saw May and Choi Wan today at Gucci, but I was pretending as if I don't know any of them. Haha. I'm so bad, but whatever, this is Paris man, and I work here, I don't go freaking tourist-ting. Some of the models who came in for the dress fitting were suffering from the Dior Haute Couture show yesterday. Some of them told me they nearly fainted, because of the tight corset which all of them had to wear for Galliano. I was really shocked, because I didn't think that Galliano can be a Mr. Meany. Oh well, a Divo will always be a Divo. Some of the models were just got out from the Christian Lacroix Haute Couture fashion show, and guess what? Their make-up were so dramatic, like really dramatic. I'll say, close to a clown look.

Travailler comme d'habitude

Well what do you know, since I've been working for Elie Saab for quite a while, lucky you guys get to see a gist of Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2008 Haute Couture Collection before the others do. I was early for work,as usual. In fact, too early to be exact. Mel said I should be in the studio at 1, So i arrived at 12.30. I didn't see any models coming yet, so I was chilling at the studio for a while before I decided to call Melanie(my boss). She told me that she'll be there at 1.30pm, instead of 1pm, so she told me to get something to eat first and come back at 1.30.

So,yeah,great, Instead of eating, I decide to walk along the Avenue Montaigne(It's a part of Champs-Elysees). It was a fun walk, because I get to see a lot of interesting Haute Couture Studios.

And so,it was 1.30pm, off to work. But Desio showed up like an hour later, he's always late. He put on a little weight too. And he didn't even bother to shave his facial hair that makes him look like one of the Amish people. He said that it's a "trend" and it is called "Lazy-ness". haha. So much for an ex male model. He use to model for high fashion catwalk shows, like Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton. He's doing his own thing now, retired from the catwalk, has his own house in Milan(he's from Brazil).and he's like...my age.

Just got up. Models coming for casting at 1, so I have to be ready within an hour. After that, I'll be off to Champs-Elysees.yay(sure) I can't stop thinking about my changed plans. If only I can go back..sigh. Nevertheless, I have to put on a happy smile at work. Oh gosh, thank god Sharon's going to work with me, at least she can cheer me up a little.
